Grace Harlow is an art appraiser and researcher with a focus on Postwar, Contemporary, and Emerging art. An Accredited Member of the Appraisers Association of America, she specializes in valuations for insurance, charitable donation, estate planning, equitable distribution, and art investment.

With over a decade of experience across major auction houses, galleries, and art advisory firms, Grace offers clients a clear, informed view of the market. She conducts comprehensive appraisals, along with in-depth provenance research and strategic collection assessments. Her work is grounded in art historical expertise and rigorous methodology, drawing from both academic training and hands-on market experience.

Today, Grace runs an independent practice, working closely with private collectors, commercial galleries, and institutions. Whether supporting a collection’s long-term growth or preparing documentation for tax and legal purposes, she provides clear, research-backed valuations tailored to each client’s needs. Her broad perspective—spanning both institutional and private sectors—makes her a trusted advisor in an ever-evolving art landscape.

She holds a Master’s degree in Art History and Museum Studies from Georgetown University and a BA in Art History (magna cum laude) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also earned certificates from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London and the Appraisers Association’s Comprehensive Appraisal Studies Program. Grace is USPAP-compliant and based in New York City.
